Laurel & Hardy The Bohemian Girl (1936)

STORY: Gypsies Laurel, Hardy, and fellow travelers, are camped near the estate of Count Arnheim. Mrs. Hardy makes no secret of her affections for the handsome Devilshoof, and flaunts their affair in front of her husband. When Count Arnheim has Devilshoof flogged for trespassing, Mrs. Hardy kidnaps the Count's daughter in revenge. She tells Ollie that the little girl is his (she's just been keeping her a secret all these years) before running off with Devilshoof. The little girl is raised by Stan and Ollie, who make a loving and attentive, if bumbling, pair of fathers. Years later, the gypsy band is again camped outside the Arnheim estate. The Count recognizes his daughter, but not in time to save her kindly guardians from the torture chamber.

Plot:Bumbling detective Stan Laurel disguises himself as a famous matador in order to hide from the vengeful Richard K. Muldoon, who spent time in prison on Stan's bogus testimony

The plot involves the team working as private detectives in Mexico City. When Laurel is found to resemble a famous matador, he is forced to take his place in the bullring. Stan Laurel wrote and directed portions of the feature, which was produced in late 1944 and released in May 1945. It was Laurel and Hardy's last American film and also the film debut of Rory Calhoun

STORY: Laurel and Hardy's first period operetta. In the early 18th century, northern Italy is terrorized by a notorious gang of thieves led by Fra Diavolo, "The Devil's Brother." Wanderers Stanlio and Ollio are held up by a band of Diavolo's men, and lose their hard-earned life savings. They determine that they too will lead a life of crime, and proceed to bungle a series of robbery attempts with Ollio posing as the dreaded Diavolo. They make the mistake of holding up the real Diavolo; he in turn threatens their lives, but spares them and makes them his personal servants. Diavolo is enamored with the charms of the lovely Lady Rocberg and the 500,000 francs she has hidden in her petticoat. The Boys help to expose Diavolo, and all escape unharmed.

The Music Box 1932

STORY: Laurel and Hardy are to deliver a piano to a house which sits atop an enormous flight of stairs. Their attempts to carry the piano up the stairs results in it rolling and crashing into the street below several times, often with Ollie in tow. They finally succeed in getting the piano in the house, where they make a shambles of the living room. The owner of the house, Professor Theordore Von Schwarzenhoffen, returns and is outraged at what he finds. He attacks the piano with an axe, but regrets his actions when he discovers it was a present from his wife.

The Second 100 Years 1927

Two convicts (Laurel & Hardy), in an escape attempt, tunnel into the warden's office, instead. They then disguise themselves as painters and walk out the front gate. Needing new clothes, they steal suits from visiting dignitaries, take their places in a limousine, and are delivered back to the same prison for a tour.

Their First Mistake 1932

STORY: Hot-tempered Mrs. Hardy has had it with her husband's devoting more time and attention to Stan than to her. She goes on a rampage; Ollie locks himself away in Stan's apartment. Stan convinces Ollie to adopt a baby in order to save the marriage -- which they do, but it is too late. By the time they return home with the infant, Ollie receives word that his wife is suing him for divorce. The Boys spend a sleepless night caring for the baby.

They park their camping trailer next to a deserted house, in front of which stands a well filled with the product of some local moonshiners. After preparing a delicious meal of beans and coffee, they are visited by a married couple who need to borrow some gas for their car. The husband returns to the car, while the wife stays behind with The Boys; the three of them get pleasantly sloshed on the "water" from the well. The husband returns, outraged, and a full-scale war develops.

STORY: Stan is a boarder in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Hardy. After some bickering about rent payment, Stan talks Ollie into withdrawing the family savings in order to pay off their furniture. After withdrawing the money from the bank, The Boys happen by an auction house where they are trapped into bidding on a grandfather clock and wind up blowing their wad of cash. The clock is promptly destroyed by a passing truck. When Mrs. Hardy learns of the situation, she brains Ollie over the head with a frying pan. He is rushed to the hospital, in need of a transfusion. Stan donates his blood to the cause, and The Boys wind up sharing blood and exchanging personalities.

The girls invite them up to their apartment while their clothes dry, and all proceed to get roaring drunk. A boyfriend appears, sending L&H scrambling out the back window, in full view of their wives.

With Love and Hisses (1927)

Plot; Hal Roach had put Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy together in five silent films prior to this one, but the teamwork between the two was still gelling, and they hadn't yet developed the characters that we now know as Laurel and Hardy. Here, the boys are part of an Army Reserve group, headed for a weekend camp. Sergeant Banner (Hardy) gets in trouble with Captain Bustle (James Finlayson) by flirting with Bustle's two female companions. Private Cuthbert Hope (Laurel) is also on the train, causing trouble. While going through their exercises at their destination, the men pause to bathe in a lake. Hope is supposed to watch their clothing, but instead he joins them. Banner tosses away his cigarette, which completely burns up everyone's outfits. Bustle's ladies happen by, and the naked platoon are forced to hide behind a billboard and have to somehow get back to camp. On the way, they knock over a hornet's nest, resulting in a title card reading, "All's well that ends swell," and a final shot showing the men from the back, their behinds swollen to preposterous proportions. Stan Laurel got top billing in this two-reeler, with Finlayson second. Oliver Hardy's name was not yet a drawing card
